Killer up for Parole July 24, 2014

Letter to the Board of Parole concerning the denial of parole..... I wish I had the money to fly out there and be her voice and her face....

Edward Preciado-Nuno has only been in Jail for 4 years.....this is the sentence minimum...the max is 8 in this first offense. If he gets parole he will have the 2nd offense to contend with. A minimum of another 4 years - 8 years. Full sentence for killing Kimberly is 16 years....NO PAROLE!

Dear Commissioners of the Board of Parole in the State of Nevada,

I am writing you in remembrance of my daughter Kimberly. I am her voice and her face and her biological mother.
It has been nearly six years since Kimberly’s life was brutally taken away from us, by a man who was trained in the beginning to take lives as a veteran and later to save lives as a former sheriff and FBI agent.

Every day is a struggle to get through this reprehensible experience!

On Nov 12, 2008, I received a phone call by Kimberly as we often would communicate every week or so. This time was different. I was on the phone nearly 2 hours discussing the recent events surrounding her and Jeffrey’s problems of fighting, arguing and abusive behavior. Along with the presence of Edward harassing her and blaming her. She was upset and resolved to the fact that it was over and she had to leave.  In tears, she assured me that she had a place to go and was planning to leave that very weekend.

The next day she was intentionally, brutally, maliciously enticed into a confrontation that would ultimately end her life.

Two years later I attended the trial and saw the testimony for myself.  Every day I attended the trial. I saw the pictures of her lifeless body. I heard how he knocked her off her feet in a way only a trained operative can, continuing to hammer her more than 36 times, crushing her skull, leaving no part of her body untouched, from head to toe, a broken wrist and more leaving Edward with a slight contusion on his forehead.

This man lured my daughter into a confrontation with the intent to incriminate her using a hidden video camera. In my view that is gross misuse of his power and FBI experience. He sent his son away so that he could handle the intended confrontation. I find this to be a conspiracy to incriminate my daughter. When she felt that something was going wrong she made several attempts to call Jeff to come home and help her, he ignored her calls. She was trapped inside that garage with 2 of her children sleeping inside. You can imagine a mother challenged in this way.

No one will ever know exactly what happened.  The evidence was vast, yet only a specific amount was allowed to enter the trial.

This man showed no remorse at the time of the killing and claimed self defense, continuing to show his arrogance throughout the trial.
There is much to question in all of the details/facts of this case. Many of which were not revealed in the court room. EVERY BIT OF IT STINKS!
However, several days before Christmas, Edwards’ fate was decided by a jury. Do you think the jurors wanted justice or did they want to be home with their families for Christmas?

Kimberly was beautiful mom with a loving heart and gentle smile. Her 4 children left motherless. She was a daughter, a sister and a friend to many who knew her. Many, many lives were torn apart that day, never to be the same again.

This man selfishly and brutally took Kimberly’s life with no consideration for anyone but himself and his son. There will never be justice in this horrific death. This man does not deserve parole from this extremely light sentence handed him. His training should have prevented this, yet his arrogance perpetrated it.  In my view he knew exactly what he was doing and when Kimberly did not see it his way he was infuriated and took measures to change that. Well….. HE DID IT! HE HAMMERED HER UNTIL ALL LIFE WAS GONE! Not once, not twice, but 36 times….at any moment he could have stopped.  But no, he had to complete the act, so no one could tell their side of the story that would have revealed his original intent.

Giving this man parole would leave me and many others to the conclusion that our justice system is UNJUST and gives lenience to the killer and leaves the victims behind and one dead! One dead with no voice! Never too see her son Kyle graduate, her daughter, Katie’s prom, her son Cody get married or her son Jacob start his first day at school. Please consider the victims in this case and do not allow this man a voice or an opportunity to the very things he took from Kimberly, her family and her friends.

Please hold this man accountable for his acts! DENY PAROLE!

Thank you for the opportunity to speak on Kimberly’s behalf as well as her half sister, my daughter, Andrea’s behalf as well as my own behalf!

Sincerely and with great sorrow,

Beverly Saunders

Happy Birthday Kimberly!

Today, Kim would be 37.....I'm really not that old ...am I? Yes, it has been 37 years ago today that I gave her to her family. She walked this world only a short time, and in that time she touched lives, hearts and souls. She created beautiful children, that share her soul and she lives through them, through me and all who knew and loved her. Yes, she lives strong in our hearts.
She is my angel...this song I share with you, as it reflects my sadness and trials that keep me from looking up. When I hear it it reminds me to look for that angel to help me walk through this life.
Thanks, Kim, for being my angel! I Love you always and forever, Bev

A man is placed upon the steps, a baby cries

And high above, the church bells start to ring

And as the heaviness, the heaviness, oh it settles in

And somewhere you can hear a mother sing

Then it's one foot, then the other

As you step out on the road
You step out on that road
How much weight? How much?
Then it's how long? And how far?
And how many times?
Oh, before it's too late...
Calling all angels
Calling all angels
Walk me through this one
Don't leave me alone
Calling all angels
Calling all angels
We're tryin', we're hopin'
But we're not sure how this goes
Oh, and everyday you gaze upon the sunset
With such love and intensity
Why, it's almost as if
Oh, if you could only crack the code
Then we'd finally understand
What this all means
Oh, but if you could
Do you think you would
Trade in all, all the pain and suffering?
Oh, but then you'd miss the beauty
Of the light upon this earth
And the sweetness of leaving
Calling all angels
Calling all angels
Walk me through this one
Don't leave me alone
Calling all angels
Calling all angels
We're tryin', we're hopin'
But, we're not sure how
Calling all angels
Calling all angels
Walk me through this one
Don't leave me alone
Calling all angels
Calling all angels
We're tryin', we're hopin'
We're lovin' and we're hurtin'
We're cryin', we're callin'
Because we're not sure how this goes...
